Reflections for K9 Lenin

RIP Lenin

K9 Lenin, It is more than puzzling why God would create such a beautiful canine as you, then, empower you with tremendous skill that easily surpassed any and all expectations, only to take you home too soon.
As you illuminate the heavens, whisper in your partner's ear that all is well. Shine down on your earthly department and family with comfort and peace. Let them know that there is a star with your name on it when they look up to the sky.

My heart breaks every time a K9 is killed but this one hurts a little extra. My K9 Dash was killed on 3/9/22. Prayers to the handler and his family we know far to well the toll it takes on them as well. Also, prayers to the department. If the handler needs an ear I’m available.

Dear Chief of Police John Stringer:

Our family wishes to extend to all the members of the Baytown Police Department our deepest sympathy for the loss of K9 Lenin. Sometimes there are no words to express the feelings of the heart.

Rest assured, one more star will rise in the sky tonight.

Please share this letter with K9 Lenins’ handler.

We’ve owned 5 German Shepherds, all gifts from God. Best dogs ever, and unbelievable dedication. My heart goes out to Lenin’s owner(s) and partner. Impossible to replace, and forever in our minds. God bless.

God Bless you brave puppy. So sad that you had such a short but proud and dedicated life. Please say hi to my love Tessa C7185 who went to heaven on July 7, 2021. She will love to see you and play ball with you. Say hi to my love when you meet her and tell her Daddy loves and misses her very much. God bless you and your partner for his loss. You and Tessa are so missed.

K9 Lenin cross over the Rainbow Bridge and enjoy running and playing with the other fallen heroes who gave their lives to save officers and the public.

Lord God of unfailing love, to those families of our beloved nation, the United States of America, who are suffering in the wake of the loss of a Law Enforcement K-9 family member in the Line-of-Duty, help us to provide support. Allow us to be their rock and fortress in a time of immense pain and uncertainty. Help us to keep them safe and nourished in their time of grief, suffering beside them as we move toward healing and reconciliation. Lord God, in Your compassionate mercy, hear my prayer. Amen.
