Reflections for K9 Jedi

Rip jedi

My heart is with the Seattle police department and especially jedis family and handler. There is such a special bond between the dog and the handler. It is heartwrenching to lose such a close partner... God bless and may some good come from all of this

The First & The Last

The first to sense the hostility of a suspect,
The first to react to protect his master,
The first to enter where danger lurks,
The first to detect the hidden intruder.
The first to take action against violence.
The first to sense his master’s joy.
The first to know his master’s sorrow or fear.
The first to give his life in defense of his master.
The last to be forgotten by those who work with others like him.
They know him as a “Partner”, not just an animal.

What I don't understand is why in the first place, a taser or stun gun was not used to subdue the criminal before releasing K9 Jedi to take down the criminal?! I cried my eyes out. Jedi could have been still alive.

God bless the thankless work these police officers and police dogs do every day, helping some ungrateful residents in Seattle perform there normal lives. I would like to know where i can send money to help establish a fund for new K-9 police dog. There is nothing better and more respected than Police officer and there K-9 dog

Jedi's death is a blow to all who support the police.
Watched the video released by SPD, Jedi not only did his job but continued even after being wounded.
God bless Jedi and his handler whose attempt to help Jedi ended in his being wounded.

There is nothing that I can say to ease the pain you all feel at this time but I would like to express my appreciation for the work you all do.

Lord God of unfailing love, to those families who are suffering in the wake of the loss of a Law Enforcement K-9 family member, help us to provide support. Allow us to be their rock and fortress in a time of immense pain and uncertainty. Help us to keep them safe and nourished in their time of grief, suffering beside them as we move toward healing and reconciliation. Lord God, in Your compassionate mercy, hear my prayer. Amen.
