Reflections for K9 Axel

Rest in Peace, good and faithful servant.
God has already reserved a final resting place for our peacemakers.
Please continue your careful and diligent watch over us.
When Law Enforcement perishes, a proud and caring nation mourns.
Thank you for your heroic sacrifice!
Thank you for your selfless service!
Thank you for your guardian protection!

Our prayers to the family and department.

The First & The Last

The first to sense the hostility of a suspect,
The first to react to protect his master,
The first to enter where danger lurks,
The first to detect the hidden intruder.
The first to take action against violence.
The first to sense his master’s joy.
The first to know his master’s sorrow or fear.
The first to give his life in defense of his master.
The last to be forgotten by those who work with others like him.
They know him as a “Partner”, not just an animal.

K-9 Axel, the unbelievable determination and loyalty you showed, marks you as one of the greatest K-9 officers. Continuing on, even though it was detrimental to you, certainly to the point when your body and mind could do no more, is beyond comprehension. You are now in perfect peace, enjoying a heavenly reward that you more than deserve! Let your partner know that you are just fine and are gently nosing him to carry on for your sake.
