The Silicon Valley Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 52 remembers and honors Jackie and all fallen officers and K9's nationwide. We hung Jackie's ornament on our Christmas tree for public display with the other fallen heroes in 2019. This year we want to send that ornament home. We have a custom made etched-glass Christmas ornament for Jackie, (name, EOW, and Agency). We do not know where to send it.

Dear, US customs and Border Protection

My name is Shanice Romero and I am a tenth grader at the Pinellas Park High School’s Criminal Justice Academy Located in Largo, FL. The Criminal Justice Academy is a four-year high school magnet program with an emphasis on Law education. Students not only receive education in all academic areas but gain an understanding of the American legal system and are able to explore the wide range of Career-related opportunities available.
In my Criminal Justice Operations class, We are honoring fallen officers around the nation and I have been given the privilege to honor K9 Jackie from your agency. I wanted to let you know that not only do I appreciate K9 Jackie’s ultimate sacrifice but I also appreciate all that K9s are doing in our communities. It often goes unrecognized and I feel it is important for K9s to know they are respected and appreciated.
To honor K9 Jackie I have designed a poster with pictures of K9 Jackie(). I would like to make this project available to your agency or K9 Jackie’s handler. Please contact me if you would be interested. My contact information and my criminal justices teachers contact information are listed below. Thank you so much for your time.

Respectfully,
Shanice Romero

K-9 Jackie, it never seems right in our small minds when God decides it is time to take such an important hero home. So beautiful, strong, smart and powerful - you devoted your life to this country! How incredible is that? May God send your partner, family and department peace and comfort although that will never replace you - rest over the Rainbow Bridge with your fellow K-9 heroes.

Border Patrol K-9 Prayer: I will lay down my life for you and expect nothing but love in return. I protect all agents with my life, and would gladly take a bullet in their place. I am sent in to find the lost and those that run from justice. I find drugs, weapons, and track my target. I am the first sent in and often the last to leave. I am the nose and ears of my agents. I protect and serve my nation, as well as my agents. I would die for any and all agents. Tracking is what I love, and for my agents, I would surrender my life. I only ask for love, care, and let me lead you on the hunt.

My heart goes out to The Spokane Sector Family, who with Jackie's handler are struggle for this brave K-9's loss. Jackie's watch has ended on the northern border and has begun over the Rainbow Bridge, Those that we lose, are never gone from us, as we carry their furry paws and went noses in our hearts.

Heavenly Father, You are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Partner-in-Blue, K9 Jackie, of the United States Border Patrol, was taken from us on Sunday, December 29, 2019. She was killed in the Line-of-Duty in a vehicle crash near Colville, Washington. Come swiftly to her aid, have mercy on her, and comfort her family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the Cross. We ask this through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; for He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can go to the Father except by way of the Son. Now, cross over the ‘Rainbow Bridge’ and jump into the loving arms of the Lord Jesus Christ where you will remain forever more. Amen.

“Blessed are those who mourn. They will be comforted.” [Matthew 5:4 GW]
