K-9 Jake, it has taken me days to be able to thank you for your incredible service. I have been so upset by your loss that I could think of nothing but your devotion and outstanding skills. I pray that justice will be served, although your sacrifice was so great that payment will never be enough. You can rest now in Heaven after completing everything that was asked of you. I pray God will flood your partner with comfort, peace and pride. A star in the heavens shines Every Single Night in your honor.

K-9 Jake, I was horrified and very, very angry as I read about the drugs that hurt you. You deserve the greatest reward and I know that you are now in Heaven with all the other K-9 heroes. I hope the perpetrator serves a life sentence - not enough for the terrible, probably pre-meditated crime against you. May God comfort your partner, family and department. When your partner looks to the skies at night, he will see a bright star named for you as you shine on forever.
