A HEAVENLY HOME…

Are these magnificent creatures now with the Lord Himself in the Heavenly Realm? Pastor and Author Randy Alcorn at EPM.org certainly feels this is factual, and even devoted 2 chapters of his best selling “Heaven” book to establish his case. Many of his inspiring articles are at: https://www.epm.org/search/?q=Animals+in+Heaven. We can also get a glimpse of the Glorious Reunions awaiting their devoted Handlers, Trainers and Owners at ImagineHeaven.net May the Good Lord comfort these intelligent and brave animals and their human family and caring departments accordingly…

You will be missed by all of your canine and human co-workers. Your life was taken by someone who did not have any appreciation for law enforcement dogs at all. You will be memorialized on the law enforcement canine memorial wall with other police dogs who lost their lives in the line of duty. You will be missed by all.

K-9 Nell, you and fellow officer K-9 Grunt had your lives taken by those who can only be known as complete evil. No doubt your unremitting drive could be exhausting at times and sometimes frustrating to those trying to keep up with you, but that was all easily balanced by your loving, sweet and kind hearts. Always happy, always ready to work! May God shower your handlers, families and the department with comfort and peace. They will see you in Heaven!

A Prayer for K9 Nell:

Thank you for your law enforcement service to the citizens of Refugio County, Texas and to the Refugio County, Texas Sheriff’s Office. Let us celebrate your accomplishments and remember your selfless sacrifice in the Line-of-Duty. In Luke 3:6 Jesus promised, “And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.” So, death is not the end; it does not have the final say! All dogs do go to heaven because you have a spirit that epitomizes God's unconditional love. After all, DOG is GOD spelt backwards! Now, my furry, four-legged Comrade-in-Blue, rest easy, we will take it from here.

"Well done, good and faithful servant" [Matthew 25:11 ESV]

A Police Dog's Oath:

"I will lay down my life for you and expect nothing but love in return. I protect my officer with my life, and would gladly take a bullet in his/her place. I am sent in to find lost children and fugitives on the run. I find drugs and weapons and even bombs. I am the first sent in and sometimes the last to leave. I am the nose and ears of my officer. I will protect and serve my officer. I would die for my officer and for you. I only ask for compassion and a kind word in return."

Almighty God, the Refugio County Sheriff’s Office was fortunate to receive the gift of K9 Nell from You. Now that she has left this life, please help them cope with their loss with strength and courage. I know that their beloved companion no longer suffers, and will live on in many fond memories. May she always be remembered as a trusted colleague who completed her missions with true dedication as she was trained, as well as, the unconditional love she provided her handler and caregivers. May the Lord God bless you always. In Jesus’ holy and mighty name, I pray. Amen.
