Leave a Reflection

Reflections for K9 Major

My eyes are your eyes,to watch and protect you and yours.
My ears are your ears,to hear and detect evil minds in the dark.
My nose is your nose, to scent the invader of your domain.
And so you may live,my life is also yours.

No truer words were exhibited that fateful night when K9 Major put himself in harms way and sacrificed himself, no doubt saving officers lives. Your faithful service and unconditional love for your human partner will never be forgotten.

Rest in Peace K9 Major... A hero remembered never dies.

Major,

You were a force to be reckoned with, and we were so fortunate to have you on our team. You ensured all of us went home every day and you kept your family safe. I am sad you left us early, however grateful for the legacy that you created for all of our 4-legged partners. You will never be forgotten Major.

Major – if ever there was a K9 meant for police work, it was you. You caught a lot of bad guys, earned a lot of awards and trophies; but what I am most thankful for is the loyal partner you were to my brother all those years. There is no doubt in my mind, that every single shift, he was your number one priority. You gave me peace of mind for 8 years; worrying a little less because I knew you were there. I love that people still remember you, your personality and the amazing work you did, unselfishly, for so long. Maj, you were truly one of a kind… miss you xoxo
