Leave a Reflection

Reflections for K9 Mojo

I very much agree that Officer Mojo is with the Lord. The hardest thing I have ever done was to put my dog down. When it was over, my head was on his back, when I felt this whoosh of air (i believe his spirit) leave his body. I screamed come back, come back! God blessed me at that moment to reassure me he would be there for me when I go home. I’m saying this because you will see him again. My heart breaks for the family of Officer Mojo. He wasn’t “just a dog”. He was part of a family. His personal family, and the men and women in blue at NCPD. I am so sorry for your loss. Officer Mojo watch over all of them and Lord give them peace and comfort during this difficult time now and always.

To Chief Burgess and the fine men and women of the North Charleston Police Department my family and I send our Prayers of comfort to each of you during your time of grief and loss of both K-9 Officer Mojo and also of Officer MacCluen. I have for many years worked with and along side many of you as a sister agency. I know the dedication and sacrifice each of you makes everyday and the pride and professionalism you take in doing that job. Chief your strong leadership and spirit will help all get through this difficult time.

A Prayer for K9 Mojo:

Heavenly Father, the North Charleston, South Carolina Police Department was fortunate to receive the gift of K9 Mojo from You. Let us celebrate his accomplishments and remember his selfless sacrifice in the Line-of-Duty. Now that K9 Mojo has left this life, please help the members of the North Charleston Police Department cope with his loss with strength and courage. May K9 Mojo always be remembered as a trusted colleague who completed his missions with true dedication and the unconditional love he provided his caregivers. Lord God, by Your Word, death is not the end; it does not have the final say! For Scripture promises that all flesh shall see the salvation of God! All dogs do go to heaven, because they have a spirit that epitomizes Your unconditional love. After all, DOG spelt backwards is GOD! Well done, good and faithful servant! Amen.
