K-9 Argo, Strangely, I can only believe that one day it will be revealed why God chose to use an act of His weather to take you home. I think you are very special and He was keeping you from an ill fate as you served in your very dangerous profession. May He comfort and soothe the hearts of your partner, fellow officers and family. Your awesome strength, devotion and handsomeness will be missed by them but never forgotten. And, the rest of us will carry you in our hearts where heroes names are written.

A Prayer for K9 Argo:

Thank you for your law enforcement service to the citizens of Normandy, Missouri and to the Normandy Police Department. Let us celebrate your accomplishments and remember your selfless sacrifice in the Line-of-Duty. In Luke 3:6 Jesus promised, “And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.” So, death is not the end; it does not have the final say! All dogs do go to heaven because you have a spirit that epitomizes God's unconditional love. After all, DOG is GOD spelt backwards! Now, my furry, four-legged Comrade-in-Blue, rest easy, we will take it from here.

"Well done, good and faithful servant" [Matthew 25:11 ESV]

Almighty God, the Normandy Police Department was fortunate to receive the gift of Argo from You. Now that he has left this life, please help them cope with their loss with strength and courage. I know that their beloved companion no longer suffers, and will live on in many fond memories. May he always be remembered as a trusted colleague who completed his missions with true dedication as he was trained, as well as, the unconditional love he provided his caregivers. May the Lord God bless you always. In Jesus’ holy and mighty name, I pray. Amen.

GRIEVE NOT FOR ME

Grieve not for me for it has been ordained,
that my journey here be short.
Grieve not for me for my loyal presence
will ever remain in your heart.
I was sent to be a Guardian,
for the Guardians of Law in Blue.
A fearless, noble protector,
with a bond that few con construe.
With character unshakable,
and senses that are well heightened,
I was sent to be a defender,
so that your burden here would be lightened.
Grieve not for me for in heavenly blue,
our reunion day will come.
Grieve not for me for as partners again,
We will defend a greater Kingdom.

I only know Argo through his breeder in St.Louis. I have followed him since he was born. He was an amazing Shepard, closely attached to his handler with great dedication and focus to his duties. He will be forever missed.

Rest in Peace Argo von Goedehaus
