Reflections for K9 Rooster

Rooster, Every step you took, every bark you gave was for a reason. You completed your mission precisely and perfectly just as God meant for you to do. Now you can rest in heaven with others of your kind - the rarest breed of all - the K-9 officer. We pray that the partner, family and department you left behind will feel the support of all of us who respectfully mourn for you.

K9 Rooster:

Thank you for your law enforcement service to the citizens of Wichita, Kansas and to the Wichita Police Department. Let us celebrate your accomplishments and remember your selfless sacrifice in the Line-of-Duty. However, death is not the end; it does not have the final say! Now, my furry Comrade-in-Blue, rest easy, we will take it from here! May the Lord God bless you, your family, your friends, and your colleagues always.

"Well done, good and faithful servant!" [Matthew 25:21 ESV]

Let us Pray: Almighty God, the Wichita, Kansas Police Department was fortunate to receive the gift of Rooster from You. Now that he has left this life, please help them cope with his loss with strength and courage. We know that this beloved canine hero no longer suffers, and will live on in the fond memories of his loyal and dedicated law enforcement service for which he was trained. We pray that his accomplishments and unconditional love have enriched the lives of others and that he will forever be remembered by all those who loved and cared for him. Amen
