I am so very sorry for your loss. A K-9 is no different than a human partner. They are always there for you with unconditional loyalty and love. You are in my thoughts and heat.

Very sorry for you loss, AST. I became a huge fan of your show a long time ago. Feels like family. My thoughts and prayers go out to the K9 handler and his family. I know that is a special bond. I have several close friends who are LEOs, one of which was a K9 handler. His K9 had to be retired due to health reasons. Unfortunately, he was recently diagnosed with cancer and passed away. They will always be remembered.

K9 Helo:

Thank you for your law enforcement service to the citizens of the State of Alaska and to the Alaska State Troopers. Let us celebrate your accomplishments and remember your selfless sacrifice in the Line-of-Duty. However, death is not the end; it does not have the final say! Now, my furry Comrade-in-Blue, rest easy, we will take it from here! May the Lord God bless you, your family, your friends, and your colleagues always. FURRY BLUE LIVES MATTER!!!

"Well done, good and faithful servant!" [Matthew 25:21 ESV]

Let us Pray: Almighty God, the Alaska State Troopers was fortunate to receive the gift of Helo from You. Now that he has left this life, please help them cope with his loss with strength and courage. We know that this beloved canine hero no longer suffers, and will live on in the fond memories of his loyal and dedicated law enforcement service for which he was trained. We pray that his accomplishments and unconditional love have enriched the lives of others and that he will forever be remembered by all those who loved and cared for him. Amen
