Rest in Peace Aren, your job here is done. I'm so sorry you were taken from us, but know so many people truly appreciate what you and the other K-9 Officers do. I know your handler and all who knew you greatly miss you. Also know that we are trying to change the laws to make offenses of what happened to you much stiffer. My prayers to all.

Doggie Aren: We lost one of our pups Kobus in Omaha, Nebraska last week to the same fate as you. Maybe you guys can play tug of war and chase each other in a much better place in the sky. Much love to you Aren. Rest in peace now.

K-9 Aren:
Your human partners took care of your killer by being forced to use deadly force just as he did you. We are all trying to change the laws so that killers of police K-9's and other law enforcement service animals will be treated as if your own human partner was killed in the line of duty. Thank you for your years of service with us--you will never be forgotten. Thoughts and hugs are with your handler, Officer Brian O'Malley, as he conquers this very difficult time as well as the entire Port Authority of Allegheny County Police Department. You will be sadly missed Aren. Now, go run and play with my boy--he is waiting for you. Peace brother.....Woof Woof

A Prayer for K9 Aren:

Thank you for your law enforcement service to the citizens of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and to the Port Authority of Allegheny County Police Department. Let us celebrate your accomplishments and remember your selfless sacrifice in the Line-of-Duty. However, death is not the end; it does not have the final say! All dogs do go to heaven because you possess a spirit that epitomizes God's unconditional love.

And He [Jesus] said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise" [Luke 23:43].

Now, my four-legged furry Comrade-in-Blue, rest easy, we will take it from here.

"Well done, good and faithful servant" [Matthew 25:11]. May the Lord God bless you always. Amen

My prayers have been with you and your family Brian. Know that Aren gave his life doing what we trained him to do. He was a hard dog until the end. He will always be remembered that way.

Thank you for having my 6 Aren and for your service to all of us in blue. I'll miss your stubby tail buddy!
