Jethro, i need to write my reflection today as i will not be at my computer on 10 January2018 and will be with my own K9 Jethro busy with training.

I have a very heavy heart with tears in my eyes . but also in my deepest heart i am happy to know that you are with our Heavenly Farther and playing with your fellow k9 friends.

Jethro, just letting you know that I still, and always will, pray for you and your other furry K9's who have given all. You are very special to me Jethro. Your story broke my heart and I won't forget the sacrifice you made, nor that of your other brother/sister K9's. Rest in peace, Jethro, at The Rainbow Bridge, where you can run free and play morning till night. Sending love to you from here. Good boy, Jethro!

Officer Davis, I am so very sad for you. I heard you make the comment that you wish you could trade so that you would have lost your life and Jethro would have lived. You said how huge the hole in your heart is. If Jethro had lost you, he might not have understood and been even more sad and upset than you are. I love my dog so much that I want him to die first so that he won't grieve over losing me. I know that you would not have wanted Jethro sad either. I hope that huge hole in your heart starts to slowly heal.

I work in Canton and am married to a police officer so perhaps that is why the loss of Jethro seemed particularly difficult. I prayed he would pull through then cried when I heard he did not. He was, in my opinion, the most handsome German Shepherd I have seen. My sincerest condolences to Officer Davis and his family and the Canton City PD. RIP Jethro.

As I watched the tape of the memorial service for LEO Jethro, I was moved by the hundreds and hundreds and hundreds who assembled to honor you, your service and sacrifice. I join my voice to theirs in hailing your unconditional love, loyalty and courage in service to your duty as a beloved member of your immediate family and of the LE Brothers in Blue at large. Your murderer must face the same sentence had he murdered your partner. Life in prison. Period. Your outer form is not what matters to us who know and appreciate your actual worth. My family and I know that you reside at God's right hand, in over-watch of your partner LEO Ryan Davis, and us all.
