RIP - APE your bravery will always be remembered in this small village that you were sent to protect. You are truly a hero and gave the ultimate sacrifice. Because of that sacrifice, you put an end to the terror that ran thru the Mohawk Valley. My heart goes out to your law enforcement family, and all those effected by this senseless tragedy. Your service will never be forgotten. God Speed little puppy, run free, and be happy.

Thank you on behalf of all the children, faculty and staff at Fisher Elementary in Mohawk, NY. You helped in keeping all our children safe. Thank you Ape for saving the lives of many people in both Mohawk and Herkimer. You gave your life for your fellow officers and they will always remember you. You also protected the lives of loved ones of mine that live in Mohawk and that was once my home for ten years. Play to your hearts content in knowing you are a hero to so many.

Rest in Peace, our unforgettable hero and friend, Ape. Still a pup and so grown up at the same time. What would we have ever done without you. You are a true blessing to this community, you saved countless lives, having to give the ultimate sacrifice of your own life doing so. We all commend you for a job more than well done. My heart goes out to the handler and to all the law enforcement men and women who were so honored to have known, trained, and worked with you even if for such a short time. And of course, our sincere thanks to each and every law enforcement agency for exceptional work done in bringing this horrific situation to a swift end. God Bless you all. The streets are safe once again for at least awhile. Again, many, many thanks for a job well done. Maybe we can now concentrate on helping those so deeply affected begin to heal as we ourselves begin the healing process as well.
