DEDICATED TO ALL K-9 UNITS

LAST CALL

The strobe lights are flashing as the siren wail loud
The radio is calling K-9 unit come now
My partner is driving destination he knows
We arrived at the crime scene I am eager to go
Suspect fled down a dark street his location unknown
My partner unleashed me now the game has begun he told me to find him now the hunt has begun
My eyes locked on the suspect I gave chase without fear
As I got close behind him the suspect suddenly turned
A shot rang out loudly and his bullet hit true
I lay mortally wounded my life faded so fast
Now my time here is over but don't you be sad
To my partner I say this when you feel a tug at your left side or a cold nose behind your ear
Don't worry that's just me ALWAYS CLOSE, ALWAYS NEAR!
