Reflections for K9 Koda

Officer Koda, thank you so much for your service not only to your handler and fellow officer, but to your agency, community, and the entire country. You lived as a hero and will forever be remembered as one. I truly and fully believe you are equel to any human officer, and I sincerely hope justice is done in this matter. As the countless comments here show, you will never be forgotten.

Ron, Koda's partner and best friend,
Losing your partner that was trained to give his life to spare yours will forever be by your side and love you and yours, along with his friends at the department. Koda is now a guardian angel dog. He left you with a heartful of memories for you and your heart to open when you need.
May Koda rest in peace. May God's blessings fill the void in your heart and soul. An officer's K9 always has a heart of gold and a badge it wore proudly.

Jane,A person who respects all the brave women, men and K-9's. All are heros and you have my forever "Thanks"

Koda, a job well done, R.I.P.
Our canines know no fear, they go in with no hesitation and ask nothing in return other than a pet on the head, a toss of the ball, or a paw tugging at the leg. These are the things a canine savors and never waivers when given the command.

There are no words that will ease your pain. I'd say time will ease it. It doesn't. It dulls it some. My boy, Axel, God rest him, left in 2009. Cancer robbed me of him. You had Koda ripped from you. That pain must be horrible. My heart goes out to you and yours. If there is anything we up north can do for you, just say. No, my baton is not a wand and I cannot bring him back. It will get easier, with time and the support from those around you. Oh, and Koda? I'd avoid Axel when ya get there, he could be kind of a dick to other dogs at times...

Trust in me my friend for I am
your comrade. I will protect you
with my last breath When all
others have left you And the
loneliness of the night closes
in, I will be at your side.

Together we will conquer all
obstacles, And search out
those who might wish harm to
others. All I ask of you is
compassion, The caring touch
of your hands. It is for you that I
will unselfishly give my life And
spend my nights unrested.
Although our days together
May be marked by the passing
of the seasons Know that each
day at your side is my reward.

My days are measured by The
coming and going of your
footsteps. I anticipate them at
every opening of the door. You
are the voice of caring when I
am ill. The voice of authority
when I've done wrong.

Do not chastise me unduly For
I am your right arm, The sword
at your side. I attempt to do
only what you bid of me. I seek
only to please you and remain
in your favor.
Together you and I shall
experience A bond only others
like us will understand When
outsiders see us together Their
envy will be measured by their
disdain.

I will quietly listen to you And
pass no judgment, Nor will your
spoken words be repeated I will
remain ever silent, Ever vigilant,
ever loyal. And when our time
together is done And you move
on in the world Remember me
with kind thoughts and tales,
For a time we were unbeatable,
Nothing passed among us
undetected.

If we should meet again on
another street I will gladly take
up your fight, I am a Police
Working Dog and together We
are guardians of the night.
