My brother David helped in teaining of Blitz with schutzhund level 3 training. David was the chairman of the American Rottweiler club and an avid breeder and trainer of this great breed.

I remember Blitz, from when I was in the explorers.
I saw you cry at his funeral.
I still tell people about him.
Me and my wife do rescue and adoptions.
Our Rottweiler, was good with cats and gentle with our infant, but he would also kill or die for us.
We thank you both for your service!!!

Blitz, I remember you as a puppy following Sgt. Joe McGrogan around police headquarters. I watched you grow into adulthood and then Joe trained you to be the first and only Rottweiler to ever serve as a MCP K9. I often looked at that massive head of yours and thought, "Wow, if Blitz bit you, you sure would know it", yet unless Joe gave you the "show them your war face" command you were a gentle giant. You took the bullet that was intended for him and that makes you a true HERO. I don't believe Joe ever got over your death. On June 14, 2007, Joe died and he joined you at the Rainbow Bridge. I know you are there with him forever, chasing your ball and protecting the Pearly Gates of Heaven.
