On today, the 3rd anniversary of your death, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice. Know that your Partner and his fellow officer took care of the POS that killed you.

I was working the PD radio the night you were killed, and I'll never forget the terror, shock, and sorrow I felt in those horrible moments and the ever-present numbness in the days and weeks after.

Call me crazy, but every night I come to work, I walk by your picture in the darkened lobby of the station, and I touch the corner of the frame. As I do, I say hi to you and I pray that God will keep everyone safe tonight and always.

You died a hero, and you are not forgotten.

We miss you, Pup.
