Reflections for K9 Gero

I heard the account of Officer Gero on a Paul Harvey broadcast almost 20 years ago and have been haunted by it ever since.

Even today I get all teary-eyed when I think of the sacrifice K-9 officers are occasionally called to make. My heart goes out to the people who felt Officer Gero's loss the most. I feel better now and just hope I haven't opened old wounds. Thanks for reading.

Gero, thank you for saving my dad's life. I was only 6 years old, and you did exactly what you were trained to do. We still miss you and love you.

Gero,
Even though it has been 28 years since your End of Watch-you are still honored and remembered.
