K9 Magnum was struck and killed by a car while tracking a larceny suspect.

Magnum had successfully located the subject who was hiding in an overgrown area near the Saddle River. The subject fled across the river with Magnum's handler in pursuit.

Magnum attempted to follow his handler and the subject but became separated and was struck by a vehicle on West Saddle River Road.
