Great young man with a fantastic personality. He had everything to live for and a family that I respect so much. I knew his father, brother, and sister many years ago. It has been a long time since I have seen or talked with them but I have never forgotten their loss. I saw Danny for the last time at the Hattiesburg YMCA and we played basketball together. Next thing I heard, he had transferred to Brookhaven and was killed. When I watch America's Most Wanted and they pay tribute to fallen heroes, I think of Danny Nash everytime. God Bless your family George Nash. Your friend, Bobby Bryant Chief Petty Officer Bobby Bryant You were taken from us 25 years ago today. We had dinner together in Natchez with another trooper and said good-bye to each other, only to know it would be our last time. I have emblazened the night in my memory for soon to be twenty five years. I still miss you young trooper. Rest in the arms of our Lord, for we will see each other again. You did your job well while you had the time. Rest well, rest well. M-18----1980 thru 2001 Mst.Sgt.,Mike Cooper YOU ARE REMEMBERED TODAY AND THANK YOU SIR FOR YOUR SERVICE Pat Van Den Berghe "The Badge" Investigator David L Bell Danny, I passed your memorial sign this weekend on my way to the Balloon Race at Natchez. As we passed, my son said to me,"didn't you go to high school with him?" I replied yes and as we traveled along your highway I shared memories of you. I moved to Petal my junior year and your senior year. I did not know anyone. I can still remember you walking up to me after a long hard hot football practice "singing" and you introduced yourself to me. My first friend!! Then you continued to sing as you walked to your car. And that was Danny Nash...hardworking at everything he did, always with a song on his lips as well as in his heart, and friendly & compassionate to others. I still remember and will always miss you, Danny.
I knew Danny in high school and knew that whatever career path he chose, he would be the very best in it. He was a fine young man, taken from us much too soon. God needed a warrior in Heaven, we shall all see him again one day soon. Thank you for your service while here on the roads of our fine state. We miss you, Danny.
