This the 87th anniversary of your death your sacrifice and service are remembered. Special remembrance for the challenges
you faced in a young country struggling to keep safe it's citizens. Although violence and danger continue that which
you confronted can be called very intense. Your bravery left
a legacy for future peace officers.
Rest in peace as you patrol with St. Michael and all fallen
heroes in heaven.

Today (6/6/05) the 110th Cadet class from APD had a challenge run honoring fallen Law Enforcement officers. We have the honor of hosting a fallen officer memorial here in Austin which is where we began our 7 mile run. Before our run, a husband of a fallen APD officer spoke with us. He asked us to choose a name that we felt drawn to on the memorial and keep it for strength while we were running. The name Dave Murdock stood out to me. We were asked afterwards to visit the ODMP website and look up our fallen hero. Thanks Officer Murdock for your bravery and service. Neither God nor man will ever forget.
