Patrolman McGonagle, today marks the 75th anniversary of your tragic death. I note you were only with the State Police for two years, yet your picture indicates you may have been, well, no kid. My heart goes out to you. I don't know if you had been a cop elsewhere or if you just came into this line of work a little later in life, either way, you are a hero for following a dream and living it and in doing so, helping to protect the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Thank you.

God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
