Your heroism and service is honored today, the 89th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

We are the LAPD ! We do not leave any Men or Women behind, and we do not forget any LAPD Brother or Sister, who may have fallen in the line – of – duty.

PM Magness, may Your Soul Rest-In-Peace.

I know very little about my great grandfather, but he influenced me in my life and career. My grandmother told me he died while operating a LAPD police ambulance. He was only on the job for about a year. He left behind four children and a wife who died shortly thereafter. He was the first of many police officers in our family and someone who inspired me on that path. I am the last of the bloodline to continue the tradition.

As I try to temper my anger regarding DNA confirming today the body of a constable from my home in South Carolina was murdered, I pause to remember a fellow LAPD officer. May You Rest - In - Peace.
