Your heroism and service is honored today, the 80th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Policeman Long - As we approach the 80th anniversary of your passing, know that we still suit up and roll out every day in tribute to the men and women of law enforcement who have gone before us. Rest easy, Sir, we'll follow along, soon enough.

Of course, Georgia Street Station, is long - gone.

However, we are the LAPD ! We do not leave any Men or Women behind, and we do not forget any LAPD Brother or Sister, who may have fallen in the line – of – duty.

Officer Long, may Your Soul Rest-In-Peace.
