Dear Deputy La Rue; the circumstances of your death and that of your partner, Deputy Stone, were taught to my 1975 MCSO academy to illustrate the hazards of Civil Process and Warrants Service. Years later I worked for a long time in MCSO Warrants and never forgot these lessons learned. I'm sure your death served to help protect many others in this hazardous activity. Thank you, your partner Deputy Stone and his Phoenix PD son, Dale, for your unselfish and brave sacrifices for the citizens of Maricopa County and Phoenix.
