Your service to the people of Iowa will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, and know one day you will be with the ones who love you. Take care of heavens roads, and be there for others who have given their life, as you did serving others.

Trooper
Iowa State Patrol

Glad to see a picture of you on this site! I am proud of your service. Our family still has your uniform.

Brother Klinkefus,

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Respectfully,
You’re Brothers in Blue

He was and still is my hero.He was bigger than life to me. He was a patrolman at a time when there were still few highly trained peace officers in the state of Iowa. Many times he had to go at it 'alone' to capture lawbreakers or clean up an accident or to take victims to he hospital. He was my uncle.
