Although you were before my time, we are brothers. I am honored to wear the same uniform as you and the other faces on our Wall of Honor. I know you were my kind of Trooper. I hope I can represent the Arkansas State Police as well as you did and be as brave as you were. You are not forgotten. Trooper You have not been forgotten. Lloyd Franklin, Captain Troop E Rest in Peace, Corporal Klein. Your sacrifice is not forgotten. Officer 11169 Robbie was a fine young man doing a hard job. He was well respected by all his peers...I never heard a word against him. The ASP lost a great Trooper and we all lost a great friend. Sgt. Larry H. Fallen but NOT forgotten. Joanie Robbie and I went to work for the State Police together, assigned to the Narcotics Squad, on July 1, 1972. He was a great guy, funny, full of jokes, but serious when it came to work. At 27 years, his hair was gray, and he took some kidding behind that. He loved his wife and kids, talked about them a lot. He was devoted to the State Police. Rest easy, Cookie Monster, and if you run into Ralph Parker there, say hello for us. Darrel Blount I met Robbie Klein when I worked for the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department. He was always known to all of us as "The Cookie Monster" because he loved cookies. Radio Operators at the Sherwood Police Department would bring in cookies for him at night because they respected him and everyone enjoyed his company. I was working as Chief of Police in Shannon Hills, AR when I learned he had been shot by two escaped convicts. Though I had not seen Robbie in about two years I felt as if a close family member had died. His funeral was very hard for everyone. May GOD bless his family and watch over them. We loved you Robbie..Save us a cookie Sgt. Charles Carty I was a Little Rock Police officer when I got to know Trooper Klein. He was one of nicest, most professional law enforcement officers you'd ever want to meet. The callous and senseless nature of his death shook me to the core and brought home the truth that the only thing standing between good and evil are brave officers like Robbie Klein who are willing to lay down their lives for me and my family. May God Bless Robbie Klein. Special Agent Joe Isom
