Although we have never met, I feel a connection w/ you through the kind words of another. It is your service and ultimate sacrafice that gives me the courage and strength to continue on in the never ending challenging times that await ahead. Yes, you will be forever missed but, you will also never be forgotten. Rest in peace as I'll take the watch from here! Rest in peace my friend!!!

So sorry I didn't get to know you. But in a way I did, through your son. You left a wonderful legacy of pride in the uniform. I will continue to keep your memory alive for your descendants.
