Many years have passed since you left us but you are not forgotten...Rest in Peace Brother !! DB Calif Highway Patrol...Ret. 2007-01-09
Your service and sacrifice is still remembered, even after all these years.
To the family of Officer Jessing, in case you don't know, I want to tell you how well the CHP remembers its fallen heroes. At their Academy in Sacramento, they have a beautiful Memorial Fountain circled with brass plaques of each fallen officer's name. (You can visit it if you are in the area.) Each week, the cadets polish the plaques and salute the fallen heroes. Each May, the entire CHP holds a memorial ceremony. A Roll Call of all fallen heroes is part of that ceremony, which includes a bell toll and moment of silence.
Your officer will never be forgotten by his CHP family. Michelle Walker Wife, CHP Lt. Michael Walker EOW 12-31-05 2007-01-09
