Uncle Bob I never got the chance to know you myself but, one can learn and therefore come to know a person thru the lives of those whom they touched. Uncle Bob, after reading all the different clips and articles, looking at some of the family pictures, listening to family and friends, as well as these whom left thoughts here, I have a GREAT deal of respect for the loyal, loving, honorable and hard working man you were!! You were the reason I had initially taken Criminal Justice and now, having read this page, hope that I can give back to my brothers and sisters of Michigan at least a portion of what you gave by securing evidence to incarcerate the guilty and keep the innocent from being unjustly accused. Keep protecting and guiding us all in our endeavors!! Hense My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Former Police Officer It took 38 years before I could bear to visit your grave.
Sir, thank you for your service, dedication, and sacrifice. PSO CW Edwards Bob: You were a good Senior Officer and a good friend. We sure had a good time on some of those night shifts. A few of those antics are still the subject of conversation at coffee get-togethers. Remember our wine making episode? One hundred gallons! I still have one gallon put away. Your parting words when we both transferred out of Grand Haven were "Be careful, I can't afford to be spending $5.00 on you." Remembering those words made it almost impossible for me to put $5.00 in your death benefit envelope. If Suzie had not threatened to go to the Post and do it for me, that envelope might have been five dollars short. As it was, it was the last day and they were ready to take the envelope down before I could bring myself to put the $5.00 in. We will meet again. Sgt. Robert T. Krumbach (Ret.) Bob: It's been almost 38 years since that fateful night in Inkster. I will never forget you. I think of you often. You were not only a great partner but a good friend. Just needed to Hi. Your courage and professionalism will stand forever. Until we meet again. Lt. Ray Kegler As Bob's daughter, I would like tl thank each and everyone who visits this website. I would also like to thank those who created this website. I am very proud of my dad. We all know about the ulimate sacrifice a police officer makes; his family, in a way, makes the same sacrifice because we no longer have our loved one. I wish he could have seen his children grow up and, now, see his grandchildren and great-great-children. How proud he would be to see his family has flourish. To know that his murderer is walking free is gut wrenching. His murderer has had to live with himself/herself for all their living days with his death on their conscience. I live with it as a reality. There will always be an hole in my heart for my dad no matter how long it has been since he's been gone. He will never be forgotten. He is always in my thoughts. Thanks for keep us in your prayers. I love you Dad!!!!
