A special prayer was said today for you and your family on this 57th anniversary of your ultimate sacrifice. We will never forget. Peace.

Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement

It has been 57 years ago today since the tragic event that took you from the citizens of Illinois, and the people who loved you as a professional and a man. My mother tells me that 57 years ago, you were excited because you had something very special planned for your wife on the upcoming Valentines day. Sorrow overcomes us when we ponder that event that never came to pass for two young sweethearts. As you look down upon us, know that we are thinking of you on this day. And again, as you make your rounds in heaven, tell my dad I love him, I miss him, and I'll see him again some day. Thank you for your service. Peace.

While sitting with my mother looking at her and my father's wedding photos, she was telling me about each member in their party. Of course, when she got to you she had so many good things to say. She emphasized what a super nice person "Red" Goetting always was. You words and kindness still linger and are passed on through generations. I'm proud to be a part of that and wish I could have met you. As you wonder those streets of gold, tell my dad hello again. Thanks for your service to the citizens of Illinois and the United States. And thanks for being a friend to my father. God bless you and your family.

Trooper Goetting,
On today, the 55th anniversary of your death, I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just to your community, but to our Country as well when you served during WWII.
