YOU ARE A HERO JUST BY THE PROFESSION YOU CHOSE

VANDENBERGHE
MANCHESTER, NH

Life is short, and yours made even shorter by the poor judgement of certain individuals. Although your death was over fifty years ago, it is still remembered and heard about today. Your story will not be forgotten. Rest in peace.

My heart aches for you and your family. Such a heinous and cowardly act. 20 years prison time for such an act? Our justice system needs to be revamped. Shame on us all for letting such a thing happen. May you find comfort being craddled in the arms of our Lord. Thank you sir for your service.

Officer Garcia was from my home town of Grants. He was ambushed and killed on duty, while I was ambushed and shot on duty also, but I survived. Almost 18 years seperate our incidents, but still we are brothers over the years. Rest in Peace brother. You are not forgotten in Grants, Nash. R.M.

Patrolman Garcia,
On today, the 54th anniversary of your murder, I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of the state of New Mexico. I think it was a travesty of justice that your murderers only got twenty years when they should have at least got life.

Patrolman Garcia, thank you for your service. What a terrible crime it was that needlessly took your life. Though the suspects were caught and punished here on Earth, they will still face another judge and jury.

Interestingly, I have known this man my entire life without ever having met him. He is my grandfather and I am proud that people continue to remember him and the contribution(s) he made to his career and to his family. It is my understanding that being a State Police Officer was his life and his family has taken comfort in knowing that he died doing what he loved.
