 | Officer Edward D. Fitzgerald Houston Police Department Texas Tuesday, September 30, 1930 |
Justice was served swiftly. Now days it takes years for sentences to be carried out. Rest in peace and keep a close watch on those of us that are still in the trenchs. F. Mullens FCI El Reno, Oklahoma 2009-09-30

Thank you for the including my uncle, Edward Davis Fitzgerald, on your Officer Down Memorial Page. Edward Davis Fitzgerald was born February 1, 1903 in La Porte, Harris County, Texas and he died September 30, 1930, at the age of 27. He was the son of Joseph Amos Fitzgerald and Edith Louise Davis Fitzgerald. He had two sisters: Louise Elizabeth Fitzgerald Eckman (my mother), and Virginia Ann Fitzgerald Lillich. I was six years old when he was killed, and I remember him very well. And I remember that night.
