In memory of my uncle who gave his life. I have this picture in original size with his wife, who bravely carried on after his death. Cynthia Meinen de la Pena great great uncle 2008-02-02
You died before I was able to meet you. I want to thank you for your courage. Your sister, who was my grandmother spoke of you, she loved you and I remember her words. Maria Elena Gauna my grandmother's brother 2007-07-06
This is my great-uncle on my mother's side. The story I have of the incident from our family history papers, tells us a more detailed story of what happened.
RIP Augustin... another August is coming and I will take a moment to remember you. My mother keeps the story, as told by her grandmother of what happened on that day in 1925.
I carried this story with me for a long time and will always regard your memory with great honor.
Thank you Border Patrol agents who left messages here. My family appreciates it. Scott S. (Great-Nephew) Family of Augustin ((I'm also former LE) 2007-07-05
