Trooper Clendening,
Sir, on today the 81st anniversary of your death, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your community, but also for our Country when you served in the USMC during WW I.

NO OFFICER SHOULD EVER BE WITHOUT AN RELFECTION AND I AM HONORED TO BE THE FIRST TO LEAVE ONE FOR YOU TODAY. I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG YOUR MEMORIAL HAS BEEN HERE BUT JUST ONE DAY WITHOUT WORD OF THANKS IS TOO LONG. THANK YOU SIR FOR YOUR SERVICE AND DEDICATION TO THE ILLINOIS STATE POLICE, YOU ARE A HERO JUST BY THE PROFESSION YOU CHOSE. THANK YOU ALSO FOR YOUR MILITARY SERVICE. I WILL VISIT WITH YOU AGAIN. UNTIL THEN GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU IN HIS CARE.
