You were taken from us before I had the opportunity to know you. Your untimely death also took our opportunity to know you and your family, my aunt and cousins. I am proud to be your nephew and wish we would have had more time, since I was only 7 when you were taken. I wish you were still with us so we could know each other, love each other, and enjoy time with each other. Your family still loves you very much.

Trp. Bufford
As you look down over Troop School you still see what it is like. The first time we ran by the wall that had all the fallen Troopers on it we had to stop and read about one of the Troopers. I stopped at yours and read about you. From that day back in 2004 during Troop School, I have never forgot about you. While Troop school was hard, I would think back to you and think of the Legacy that Troopers like you left behind and it would just push me to keep going. Although we have never met, we are still Brothers wearing that Blue Arkansas State Police uniform. I know one day we will finally meet in heaven and share stories, but untill then rest in peace brother.

Prayers to the Family, and Friends of this Trooper I did not him, However while on Patrol in the south end of Louisville I met this man who said his son was killed in Arkansas, and was a trooper. This was in the eighties. He was a fine man, and I know he missed his son. His last name was Bufford, and moved back to Virginia.

I may not have known Trooper Bufford, but I do know his kids. Never realized their father was a fallen officer.
