TO Abigail, my husband Officer Emilio Miyares(killed in line of duty 11/6/86) was born a month after your grandfather died. Reading your reflection to him brought tears to my eyes, as I hope and pray that someday my grandkids will be writing a reflection to Emilio just like yours. God Bless you and I know that your gradad is very proud of your dad and you.

Abigail, It sounds like your dad has done a wonderful job of keeping your grandfather's memory alive. Make sure you do the same for you kids and their kids, for a true hero never dies.

Even though I never got to know you. I know that my dad loved you dearly. I wish you could have lived to be my grandfather. But I'll still be your granddaughter, And I love you.
