To the surviving fiance of Jorge Dimas:

I spoke last week with another surviving fiance and wanted to reach out to you and offer my condolences for I know you have a very heavy heart as does Jorge's immediate family. Although my earlier reflection didn't make mention directly of your own personal grief, I know the dreams you had of a life with Jorge were also shattered.

I pray for solace for all those who love and miss Jorge. May you too get the support you need from the law enforcement community.

Rest In Peace, Jorge. I am so sorry you were robbed of your life at such a young age.

Most can not understand why we do this job, but I assure you that these reasons are never selfish. To have lived your life with courage, honor and in service of others, is a life well lived. To the family left behind, please find solace knowing your loved one has made a difference in this world and that you again will be together in paradise. Thank you my brother officer for your service and now, rest in peace.
