 | Chief of Detectives Leonard Harris Southern Pacific Railroad Police Department Railroad Police Wednesday, May 16, 1894 |
Chief Harris, on this 115th anniversary of your murder, I wish to thank you for your 38 years in law enforcement. It’s not the sacrifice that makes you the hero, it’s all the work that lead up to that sacrifice that causes me to leave this reflection. You are a hero and your time in law enforcement was not in vain.
God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother. Ptl. Jim Leahy, Jr. Harvard University Police Dept. 2009-05-16
