I just wanted to let you, your family, friends, and coworkers know that you are not forgotten. We just went through our first anniversary of a similar tragedy and particularly on this day we remember exactly what we were doing one year ago, how we found out, and unfortunately relive it as it just happened. You were brave to do what you did like your follow brothers would of done to save others and not think of yourself. We are proud of you, a job well done. As I sit here remembering my cousin who was also struck and killed by a driver, may Officer Burnfield's family know that David greeted him home as he had arrived 3 weeks earlier in the same manner. Officer Burnfield will never be forgotten as the hero he is, that he and David died in the same manner for the safety of others. May Officer Burnfield's family know that not only he is not alone, but the families they left behind are also not alone. I do know how much you miss him and are always thinking about him, and how grateful we are all for him. I am so sorry for your loss.
