You were a wonderful one-of-a-kind guy and friend! Thank you for the great years we had together. I will never forget them. Also, thank you for all your dedicated years to the NYSP and the Navy. My thoughts and prayers are still with you and all your family. Sherry Shattuck Shawn, I feel like I never told you how much your friendship really means to me. I know God continued to put you in my life to show me the person I wanted to be. I got your message and I will be at the benefit ride on August 22. I miss you and think of you often. Fair winds and calm seas brother. Chuck Mulvey It seems like yesterday, but it's been a year. You are still missed and thought about every day. My only hope is that you are in a better place; where I am sure you are still helping others. Officer Lisa Jenne To Trooper Shawn W. Snow, his family and his fellow officers with the New York State Police: Wives Behind The Badge, Inc I said a little prayer today for Trooper Snow and his family. He may be gone but never forgotten. He will always be a New York HERO. Robyn Wilkes Uncle Shawn was the best. I can remember when we were kids he would play with us. This one time we were playing a game and he let us capture him and put him above the garage as a prisoner. I know all I know about 80's music from him, we used to play name that tune in the living room with all his 80's CDs. We were supposed to be neighbors, but he died the day after we moved in. I can't believe that its been almost a year since we lost you. It feels just like yesterday in my heart. We miss you so much! Thanks for all the pennies you leave us. Amanda Siver Shawn, I"LL never forget the times during Highschool just hanging out even if we didn`t go to the same school. We had such good time. Stephen Allen Today is a day for honoring our heros. Shawn was definately a hero even though he may have not thought of himself that way. It has been a long couple of weeks with memorials from Washington D.C., to Albany and Raybrook, NY. It was comforting for our family to be surrounded by so many caring people who truly feel the same loss. So many said it was an honor to be part of the ceremonies, but the honor was ours as well for having caring helpful 'new friends' to help deal with the loss and pain. I miss Shawn so much and so many do, but I know he is still here watching over and protecting us each and every day. Thank you to all who help make each day easier to get through. Penny Snow Trooper Snow, PFC Penman Trooper Snow, "Rest In Peace". God Bless You and Your Family, I will be riding in the Police Unity Tour with Chapter 1 in Your Honor and Memory. Sgt. Know that you're not alone in this journey you walk. I lost my fiance in the line of duty January 2003 and my world was forever changed. It's been a long hard road, and even as time as gone forward, and I've found many reasons and ways to smile, I still have not forgotten the man that he was. Dennis was a beautiful person and he forever has a part of my heart, just as I'm sure Shawn will always be a part of yours. Wife of NYS Trooper How saddened I was to learn that a classmate of mine had lost his life in the line of duty while helping another person. After reading so many of these reflections, I have no doubt of the hero that Shawn was. I can see his beautiful smile as I remember it from almost 30 years ago. I send my deepest sympathy to Shawn's family and the friends he left behind. Shawn is in a much better place now. Shawn, you won't be forgotten! Lauie Gonyea Coulter
