Your heroism and service is honored today, the 15th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace

14 years have gone by since you gave the ultimate sacrifice in your service to Puerto Rico. You are still not forgotten, sir. You may rest in peace, we have the watch now.

The Correctional Officers Prayer

Lord, I ask for courage...
Courage to face and conquer my own fears.
Courage to take me where others will not go.

I ask for strength...
Strength of body to protect others.
Strength of spirit to lead others.

I ask for dedication...
Dedication to my job, to do well.
Dedication to my community, to keep it safe.

Give me, Lord, concern for all those who trust me.
and compassion for those who need me.

And, please Lord, through it all
watch over me and keep me true.

Federal Bureau of Prisons

Officer Diaz-Pagan,
It has taken over 14 years, but you are finally being honored. I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Puerto Rico. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. There is no job in Law Enforcement tougher than that of a Corrections Officer.
