I was on vacation when I read about your murder. I can not help but think about our time "Bravo" midnights. I could always count on you arriving and getting out of your car with a comb, breath spray and a cigarette in your chrome case. Your attitude and jokes have made an impression on me more than you know. I watched and sat through both the trials for the thugs who tried to rob you and then murdered you. As bad as I wanted to see them sentenced to death I can see you compassion working in the court room as they were sentenced to life. I only wish you could have seen them having a good time in the court room with each other today as the Judge sentenced them to life in prison. Either way when it comes to life or death in your case, I am glad that both these bad guys will never see the light of freedom as long as they live. I feel that justice was done through you, and I prey that you rest in peace. Just a note, I hope you don’t go through that drive through in heaven in your underwear!

Rest In Peace Brother,
Bryan

I was just in orlando with the kids and it just seems that with all the amusement parks that this city would be a magical city where it could escape the violence and senseless killing that the rest of us are accustom to,but with your death and others we are reminded that beyond disney world there is no magical place. REST IN PEACE.

First I would like to give my deepest sympathies to the family and agency on your lose. to loose a member of the Law Enforcement Community is always a great sorrow. As a member of the Police Unity Tour/Chapter VIII, it is my honor to ride for Officer Gordon to the memorial in Washington DC. This approximately 1000 Officers and Survivors will ride their bicycles from various points throughout the United States in to Washington Dc in remembrance of our fallen but never forgotten Law Enforcement Family members. I will wear a bracelet with Officers Gordon's information on it during this journey and if members of his family or agency are at the memorial I will present them with the bracelet. Again I am sorry for your lose and may God Bless you ALL.

I was very saddened to hear about your murder. While it's refreshing that the culprits were apprehended, your family and friends are left to pick up the pieces of their lives without you. My greatest sympathies to your wife and children.

Although I have been gone a while now, I certainly remember you as a kind, gentle but strong soul. May you rest in peace.

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiancé Dennis. Everytime I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the man they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Officer Gordon. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. You will be in my thoughts.

From reading the reflections left for Alfred, he sounds like he was a great man with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew him in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Alfred's life and the MAN that he was. Remember that Alfred's life was about so much more than the way he died. Alfred will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember him.

Officer Gordon, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my late fiancé Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been almost five years but we still miss him terribly.

Wishing you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne :)

To the family, friends, and co-workers of PO Alfred L Gordon Sr.,

My husband and sister (widow of Officer Daniel Picagli)were vacationing in Florida on Oct. 4th. when we heard the devistating news on the local TV. It saddens us all to hear of yet another officer losing his life in the line of duty. Please know that you are not alone, Alfred will always be with you in spirit.
