You are not forgotton brother. Rest easy. TRP. You are remembered today Captain Dyess. You served your state well. The blue and gray will never forget our brothers who have fallen. Rest easy troop. Trooper You are remembered today and thank you Sir for your service Pat Van Den Berghe, Manchester, NH It was a beautiful, breezy, sunny Mississippi morning the day we memorialized you this May of 2007, some 65 years after your untimely death. When I first spotted your son on the morning of the memorial, there was no mistake who he was - he looks so much like you. You'd be proud of him and his children. It was evident from talking with your son that he carried on your strong committment to service, public safety, and family. I'm glad to have learned more about you through your family. Our lost trooper has now been found - forever a part of the Mississippi Highway Patrol family. Rest in Peace.

Beth Dyess Glenn From all the stories and remembrances of family and friends you were a credit to our family, to Mississippi Highway Patrol and to the law enforcment profession. Lt Col (Ret) US Army GOD Bless you and your family. Officer Paladino This is my father. I never knew him as I was not quite one year old when he was killed. However, I grew up with family members who filled in a picture of him as a man and, for a few months, a father. It is clear to me that he was an active officer who believed in his work and was proud to be a member of the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
