Thinking of you and all of your loved ones on this day. Continue to keep watch over all of them. I know your Mom would trade places with you in a heart beat as I would for my son so that you both could be here to continue on but we can't. Wrap your wings around all of your loved ones and help them with their grief. Thank you for your dedicated service to law enforcement and to your Country. You have not been forgotten.

Tim Nix was the Son of my Cousin. His Grandmother (Ella Mae), was my Mother's Sister. While I didn't personally know him, I know of him. I have a confidence that the Lord had a plan for him, that so often we mortals cannot understand. Our feeble attempts to honor him here, are unmatched by the reward Corporal Tim will inherit from God almighty. While he will be missed by his family, and all who knew him, we can take comfort he is truly in a better place.

I didn't personally know Mark, but in reading these reflections he was obviously an outstanding person. I will be riding in the the Police Unity Tour May 10-13 in honor of Mark. I will be waring a bracelet with his name on it. I would like for the family of Mark to contact me so I can find out more about Mark and see what they would like for me to do with his bracelet. My deepest condolences to the family. haroldd@james-city.va.us

Mark, you have sadly welcomed too many rookies this year. I pray for your family -- both the family your were born into and the family you joined (both the Navy and the PD). At this holiday time, help the newcomers -- because it seems to never end -- and help watch over the families here. We are doing our part, but there just isn't anything we can do to take away the pain.
May God hold them all in his hand and wipe away their tears with his comfort and peace. And may he charge his police force to protect those of us still walking this earthly beat -- every day.
