Your brother wrote the most moving and beautiful story about your close love, friendship, and shared experiences. It was a beautiful tribute that brought tears to my eyes. It was published in a national magazine, and I know you are looking down with pride. Kim Kinsey I was thinking about the time that you were out with Jim all day and we were waiting for you guys to get home to eat dinner. I sent a text to Jim jokingly demanding that he "bring back my Tony". He responded "He was mine first." He got me on that one. When you heard about it, you gave a big smile and said you would happily meet both of our demands. It's just one of thousands of moments that go through my mind throughout the day -- replaying over and over so clearly as if they just happened. You will always be in the hearts and minds of so many people who knew you well or simply encountered you as an officer or a passerby, each with their own Tony story. Anonymous Today is your birthday Tony... over two years after you were killed... and I'm having a rough morning, ya know? Jim Holly Tony, Your Candilous To Officer Anthony Jon Holly, his loved ones, and his fellow officers with Glendale Police Department: Phyllis Loya Thinking of your loved ones today and everyday. I know the daily struggles they face without you and the terrible pain within their hearts. God, wrap your loving arms around them and help them with their grief and let them feel your presence. Anonymous Tony, it has been two years since you were taken away from us. We all miss you so much. Words cannot express the loss we have endured. Shortly we will be going to the memorial at the scene and all the emotions I am sure will come flooding back. We miss you and think about you everyday. Anonymous My thoughts and prayers are with your loved ones and friends on this anniversary of your EOW. Continue to keep watch over them and those still out on patrol watching over the Thin Blue Line. You will never be forgotten. James Sheppard At every moment ..... with every breath, son. Anonymous EVERY DAY THERE IS A THOUGHT OF YOU A MOMENT OF WISH YOU COULD SHARE IN THIS...A MOMENT OF "IF ONLY" BUT THE MOMENT I PONDER ON THAT.....I REMEMBER YOU ARE WITH YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER.....THERE ARE SO MANY THAT MISS YOU AND ONE IN PARTICULAR I THINK OF BUT "SHE" WILL SURVIVE THIS BECAUSE SHE KNOWS THAT DEFEAT IS LETTING GO OF GREAT MEMORIES! Anonymous I know that you watched us as we all rode for you. We have not, and will not ever forget. We know you watch over us each time we hit the road, and continue your good work. CSS K. Martin B1162 Officer Holly thank you for your service and dedication. You truly were a remarkable man and will be missed by so many. Anonymous Tony, you are so terribly missed. It doesn't get any better, and there are no words to describe how sad, devastated, frustrated, angry it feels to no longer hear your voice and be held by you. You said you would always be here for me and would never leave my side, so I know you are with me. You are not gone.
Having a son who is a police officer outside St. Louis MO... I worry about this happening to my son...my prayers go out to the family...God was with Anthony that night... and he is with the Lord... Retired Mike W I didn't know of officer Holly until John Walsh honored him today, May 31, on Americas Most Wanted. We need people like Officer Holly to stand in the gap and shield us from the evil that exists in this world. Thank you Officer Holly, for your uncommon bravery. citizen javier guzman Tony worked for me when he was in the Air Force. If you look at his performance reports you will see my name on them. I heard of his passing tonight during a broadcast of America’s Most Wanted and I was stunned. He was an exemplary young man, one of the best troops I encountered during 22 years of service, and I am sure that as a police officer he was always polite and considerate of those he encountered, no matter the circumstance. Though it is greatly belated, I would like for his loved ones to know that those of us who knew Tony in the Air Force thought very highly of him and feel great sorrow at this news of his passing. God bless. MSgt Lawrence Goeckel Dear Family and Friends of Officer Holly- Wendy Endaya OFFICER HOLLY, YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE NOT FORGOTTEN ON THIS DAY. GOD BLESS DETECTIVE FREITAG NYPD DETECTIVE CHARLES FREITAG Tony- it has been one year and you are still missed so much. We are all going to get together tonight to honor you with one of our usual bar-b-ques. As always, it will seem odd since you will not be able to stop by like you use to. Aiden misses you a lot and talks a lot about you. If anything, he admires police officers even more now because he really understands that it is such a dangerous job and you never know if you will return home from your shift. We thank you for caring about our little boy, who you made such an impact on. It is sad he was only 7 when you died. We wish you were able to live longer with us, but take solace that you are watching over all of us in heaven. God bless. The Ortiz Family Rest in peace my brother, watch over our brothers and sisters. Kevin T Ryan Tony, it's been one year and everyday we think about you. Everyday we miss you as we drive down Oregon, actively doing our jobs. Everytime we see the kids playing in the neighborhood it reminds us to keep doing the right thing, so the kids can have a happy and safe childhood. Something you worked for brother. As you sit with God, please watch over your brothers and sisters. John Rebholz Police Officer I didn't know Officer Holly, but I did have the pleasure of metting his mother. Today, as we remember Officer Holly on the 1 year anniversary, I hope that the family knows, WE WILL REMEMBER HIM. We thank him for his service and for leaving such a honorable legacy behind! Misty Knutson-Snyder, Dispatcher I can't believe that it's almost been a year since you left us to be with the King of all Kings. I think about you often and constantly remember the laughs we had. In just a few days we will take a few moments to remember you. I know you are with each of us every day serving the Lord. God bless and I'll see you again someday. Ofc. M. Coyle #13339 I remember when we hired Tony and when he hurt his back after graduation from the academy. I teased him and told him, he needed to watch what he was doing; he has a long career ahead of him, but now I understand that he was just living everyday to the fullest. He would visit with me and the other recruiters and tell us how excited he was to get back on the street. I will never forget how he got his nickname “Cabana Boy”, but that’s another story. Detective YOU ARE REMEMBERED TODAY SIR AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR POLICE AND MILITARY SERVICE. YOU ARE A HERO JUST BY THE PROFESSIONS THAT YOU CHOSE. GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL THOSE THAT LOVE YOU.
