A couple of days ago, most of the watch was in the lunchroom enjoying our camaraderie when your name popped up. We reminisced how we served with you, shared meals with you and your love of Hawaiian pizza, and how we poked fun at each other. We were proud to tell many of the new Bayview cops, many of them on probation, what a terrific person and generous human being you were. Sometimes when things look bleak in the cop world, you my friend, are a shinning beacon and a good reason why we do this job. Ofc. Eric Chiang

i didnt know you, but as a fellow officer in this wide brother/sister hood of officers i would just like to express my thoughts. from what i have read you seemed like a fine officer and a credit to your force. i would also like to say that as a serving officer in the uk i wish my supervisorshad the courage speak out in our support in the way yours have in defence of you carrying out your role as a decicated offier, rather than accepting the critisim leveled at us. god bless my friend and sleep well pc 9834 cunniff

Nick, you were one of our favorite customers! It was always fun to be around you, always smiling! You lit up the room, amazing command and presence. You were always happy, positive, friendly, outgoing, respectful, moral, very active, health conscious, very well rounded. You put everyone in a good mood. We worked out at the same gym and you were always very motivating. We lost touch in 2002 when I moved to a new job, but you are unforgettable. I just heard the news today 9/3/08.
It is difficult to grasp that this has happened...your contributions to even your acquaintances is immeasurable, let alone to your team and to your family...

I can't believe it is two years as it only seems like yesterday. The last words you said to me was, I'm going to sleep now. You never woke up. It's so hard having to go through the days without you, Nick. Painful! I miss you so much brother. But I am living day by day,adjusting to a new normal, making the days as best as I can possibly make it, its not easy. You are so loved, your friends, they love us so much. Nick, without them I would probably go insane and you know why...I would. I feel your presence when I am weak, I feel your presence, I know you're guiding us, I know you're helping me. Today was Cassia's first day in ballet. I often talked to you about how I wanted to get her into "girly" stuff and how her dad felt about it. I remember the day I was so upset that he would not buy her the pink scooter and you called me on the phone and said "GET IT!". And I did. And you were happy that I got it, happy for her and happy for me. Anyways you know the stories. I miss telling you things and your encouraging words. You always told me that we live one life and to be happy. I wish you were here. Claudia

I just wanted to say that I miss you. It is difficult sometimes to know that I won't see you again. I miss our friendship more and more every day. You made me smile all the time. You also gave me a sense of peace that no one has been able to restore. I knew that no matter how crappy my day was I had something to look forward to, YOU at the gym.
