Fidelis ad Mortem! PO ADAMS I was still in the academy when we learned of your passing, so I was not yet there to experience what the sorrow of losing a fellow officer from the same station house actually felt like. However, I did mourn for you. Former NYPD Happy New Year. RIP Just A Cop My thoughts and prayers are with your loved ones and friends at the end of the third year of your EOW. Continue to keep watch over them and those still out on patrol watching over the Thin Blue Line. You will never be forgotten. James Sheppard It's painful to look back and remember what we lost that day in Brooklyn. What a great man you were Dillon. You displayed bravery and honor that most of us will never know. We never will forget you brother, may God continue to look out for you and your family, we miss you very much Robert Marcum Your daughters are still our children. Lt. Gonzalez Dillon's life was spent protecting ours and keeping us safe. Remember him by doing likewise and sharing his story.
Thankyou for your service and sacrifice, you are a true hero to us all. POLICE OFFICER As a police recruit, my academy class attended the funeral of Officer Stewart in Brooklyn. It was something I'll never forget. Rest in peace Brother! PO Brian DeCando "The Badge" Investigator David L Bell YOU ARE GONE, BUT WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOUR BRAVERY UNDER FIRE RETIRED DETECTIVE FRANK DEMARCO On this 2 year anniversary of your death, we pause to remember you, your family and friends. Your killer is behind bars forever and you have been awarded many awards, however that does not bring you back. We pray for your family and friends during the upcoming holiday season, may they find strength and remember all the good times you have shared. You are a true hero and will always be remembered. Craig Figgins One of the finest things about this web site is seeing an officer with 20 pages of reflections. It pleases this writer that you hve so many reflections because of the love and respect indivudals had for you. You are distinguished as a hero just by the profession you chose. Pat Van Den Berghe I believe that you dont know what you can/can't or will/won't do until instinct takes over and only then will there be a change. Det. Dillion Stewart continues to touch hearts with his bravery and dedication to his job. Thank you Dillion for the new police vest and may all wear it in your honor. SSA1 D. HOLDER Hey Stewart, it's been a minute. I discovered this page a few minutes ago and decided to write. Stewart, it still hurts like hell to know that you are no longer here. I can't explain the pain and evil that I felt having to leave at the end my tour in the 71 Pct to go home and then have to walk past the car that you were driving on the night that you were cheated of life. See, the unmarked car was being held in the parking garage in the rear of the building. We cried like babies at your funeral, me, Johnson, Robinson. But I can smile now because I have memories of you Stewart. I remember having to do push up in the academy gym with you, running until we were out of breath. I remember Johnson and Robinson making jokes of your dirty a** white Maxima that you used to pick us up with to get to the Police Academy. Hey Stewart, do you remember when you were suppose to pick me up at the Broadway Junction train station? Hmmmmm, you forgot. You never showed up and I had to take a $60 cab drive to get to Rodman's Neck Range, almost got chewed out by the Sgt, and then you, Johnson, and Robinson were laughing at me. Sucks being the only chick, lol. That was our academy crew, Company 00-17! P.O. L. Green Being assigned to the 70 Pct has been nothing, but rewarding. The opportunity to carry on in your legacy is a passion that has increased, to display your strength, honor, love and support which still carries on daily as your fellow Officers patrol on tour. It is with out a doubt that everyone misses you dearly, and it is important to us to never forget. Most people measure a man's life based on how many years he had, or how much work he's done, but rather we will measure your life based on the many smiles you gave, or the many hearts you touched, and more importantly the contributions you gave to life itself, just for living. Thank you DET. DILLON STEWART for living! Police Cadet Rose Detective Stewart's story has long left an impression on us and our family. We hope and pray in this holiday season that the good Detective's family enjoys their holiday season and that the culprit is brought to justice. Shawn Rogers What a hero...your dedication and sacrifice are honored and remembered as the first annviversary of your end of watch passes. Linda Lamm - LEO wife and sister of We all miss you very much Stewie... 70 Pct 12X8 Though a year has passed Dillion for those close to you the pain continues ....God Bless Carmel Hennessy Today many of us gathered at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens to reflect upon Dillon. I partnered up with Dillon many midnight tours in the 70. He really tried all the time to create comfort and ease amongst the people we would encounter, especially younger kids that were causing the problems. His smooth tone of voice and wisdom always took hold on those whom it was addressed. About a month ago, I kept thinking of him,and I did not realize that one year had gone by already. I guess I just miss the guy. P.O. Michael E. Lukowski One year already. And we haven't forgotten your sacrifice.......not for one day. PO 70pct. GONE, BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN.
Detective Stewart, Sergeant V.T. Rosen True Hero's and the sacrifices they make will never be forgotten. Detective Stewart, you are a true Hero. May god be with your family as you continue your beat on Heaven's streets. SPO
