Uncle Jerry, it's been 4 long years...I miss you so much! I hadn't seen any dragonflies for such a long time and this weekend they seemed to be all around me thank you.. You know everytime I listen to Mana which seems to be alot even without trying, it always makes me think of you.. but I think of you always anyways... I still hear your voice when you called me from the Mana concert teasing me saying guess where I am hehe... then putting the phone up so I could hear a song. I love you.. and I miss you more than you know..

Your heroism and service is honored today, the fourth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Hey Jerry,

Ounce again many of us will stand tall in the 24 hour Honor Guard for you tomorrow. I hope you are proud of what has been accomplished at your "Jerry Ortiz Memorial Boxing and Youth Fitness Gym" and the three Deputies that boxed in your honor Friday night at the Summer Games. They fought with all their heart as you always did and were the best of the night. I know you gave them that extra strength they needed!! Nice trunks right! People kept calling each Deputy "Ortiz" in the locker room and they responded without hesitation. It was awsome to witness. As always, your friends and the little angel you sent to me will be there tomorrow for your lovely bride and family. Our angel loves her Uncle Jerry. Keep talking to her. God Bless you my brother. Thank you!

It was four years ago today that I last saw you. We were joking around as we drove to meet everyone at Starbucks. I will always cherish that car ride.

You are missed more then words can express. I know you are watching over your loved ones.

Almighty God, through the death of your Son on the cross, you have overcome death for us. Through his burial and resurrection from the dead you have made the grave a holy place and restored us to eternal life. We pray for those who died believing in Jesus and are buried with him in the hope of rising again. God of the living and the dead, may those who faithfully believed in you on earth praise you forever in the joy of heaven. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
